With their backs against the wall, the Pacers came out with intensity and purpose in front of a roaring home crowd at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. From the opening tip, Indiana took control of the game, outscoring the Thunder 34-20 in the first quarter and never looking back.
Tyrese Haliburton Leads the Charge
Star guard Tyrese Haliburton led the Pacers with a stellar performance, putting up 28 points, 11 assists, and 4 rebounds. His leadership and playmaking proved crucial as Indiana executed flawlessly on both ends of the court.
Myles Turner added 20 points and 10 rebounds, while Pascal Siakam contributed 18 points and helped anchor the defense that held the Thunder to just 42% shooting from the field.
Thunder Struggles on the Road
For Oklahoma City, Game 6 was a night to forget. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, who had been dominant throughout the series, was limited to just 21 points as Indiana’s defense swarmed him with double teams and aggressive closeouts. Chet Holmgren struggled with foul trouble and managed only 10 points in 24 minutes.
The Thunder’s bench also failed to provide a spark, with Indiana’s second unit outscoring them 33-18.
All Eyes on Game 7
With the series now tied 3-3, the NBA Finals head back to Oklahoma City for a decisive Game 7. Both teams will have everything on the line as they battle for the 2025 NBA Championship. This marks the Pacers’ first NBA Finals Game 7 appearance in franchise history.
Game 7 is scheduled for Sunday, June 22, at Paycom Center in Oklahoma City. Tip-off is set for 8:30 PM ET.
